In this article, I aim to understand the CMake syntax and how it works in general.

What I know

• "sysroot" is the / directory, where it looks for toolchain files in the bin, lib and include subfolders
• CC is the environment variable for the C compiler
• CXX is the environment variable for the C++ compiler
